Washing machine motor repair and replacement in Tbilisi
The motor turns the drum — through a belt or directly. If it is damaged, the drum stops, the machine does not spin or it trips the breaker. The technician first rules out simple causes — brushes, belt, sensor — and only then suggests repairing or replacing the motor.
We usually reply within 3–5 minutes during response hours.

How much it costs
Typical price in Tbilisi: from 50 ₾ for labour, parts not included. The technician confirms the final price on site or when you get in touch.
Signs
- the drum does not turn although the machine fills and drains;
- the motor hums or gets very hot;
- the breaker trips when the motor starts;
- a burning smell from the back.
What the technician checks
The technician checks the brushes, the belt, the speed sensor (tachometer), the windings and wiring, and the signal from the module. On an inverter motor — its electronics too.
If a winding has burnt out or the commutator is badly worn, the motor is usually replaced. The price of a new or used motor depends on the model — the technician tells you whether it is worth it given the machine’s age.
Frequently asked questions
Motor replacement is expensive. When is it worth it?
If the rest of the machine — tub, bearings, module — is in good condition, a new motor is often cheaper than a new machine. The technician will tell you after the diagnosis.
