- test the socket with another appliance and do not use an extension lead;
- check the cable is not damaged or squashed;
- check the breaker in the panel — if it trips again, do not keep switching it on;
- display on but the programme does not start: check the door is firmly shut and the child lock is off (usually released by pressing two buttons together — see the manual).
