Step by step
- wait 3–5 minutes: many locks only release once they cool;
- if there is water in the drum, the machine will not open the door. Run "drain", or unplug and drain the water through the filter;
- many models have an emergency release cord behind the filter cover — see the manual;
- do not force the handle — it breaks easily.
Possible causes
- water left in the drum (a draining problem);
- a faulty door lock;
- a broken handle or door hook;
- the module not sending the unlock signal.
