- programme: some modes ("no spin", "rinse hold") leave the water in the drum — run a separate "drain" or "spin";
- hose: check that the drain hose behind the machine is not kinked or squashed;

Possible causes
If the checks did not help, the cause is most likely one of these:
- a clogged filter or an object in the pump impeller;
- a blockage in the drain hose or in the sink trap the hose is connected to;
- a faulty drain pump;
- a water level sensor sending wrong readings to the module;
- a control module that does not switch the pump on.
