Check these first
- the load: a single heavy item (a blanket, a jacket) or too little laundry causes imbalance and the machine cancels the spin. Spread the laundry out and run "spin";
- the programme: make sure the spin speed is not set to 0 or "no spin";
- draining: if water stays in the drum, the machine will not start spinning — the problem is draining first.
Possible causes
- a draining problem: filter, pump or hose;
- worn motor brushes — the drum turns slowly but does not gain speed;
- a broken or slack belt;
- the speed sensor (tachometer) or the motor itself;
- the control module.
